I’ve noticed that within the theme of grief and loss, I often find it difficult to start a conversation about money. That’s why I’ve decided to do things differently: once the portrait of your loved one is finished, you decide what it’s worth to you. I’ll send an invoice for my work, but I’ll leave the amount open, so you are free to choose what feels right. This way, it feels good to me and allows space for personal and sincere connection—without money becoming a barrier.

Since every piece I create is custom-made, there are various ways in which a QR code can be added and linked to a life story. Sometimes it’s for an individual grave, sometimes for a family grave or a monument. For a single portrait, I offer two options:

1. You write the life story yourself
You’ll receive a clear step-by-step guide from me to help you write your story. Once you’ve submitted the text, I’ll edit and design it into a beautiful and polished portrait. The photos you provide will be edited and integrated into the design.
You’ll then receive a small plaque with a laser-engraved QR code, which can be placed on the grave or next to the urn.

2. I write the life story
Based on an interview with you, I’ll create a first draft of the life story, which you can review, supplement, or adjust. Once you approve the final version, I’ll design it together with the provided photos.
You’ll also receive a plaque with a laser-engraved QR code, suitable for placement on the grave or next to the urn.

Monuments
Every monument is unique, with its own history and story. Because of that, the work involved and the time required can vary significantly. In consultation with the client, I discuss the wishes and possibilities, after which we agree together on a fitting rate.
